The Botticelli Prize is an award organized by art critics, curators, and editors of international art magazines, which seeks to recognize great masters of art. It is one of the most important awards given by the city of Florence, Italy.
“The International Botticelli Prize is one of the most prestigious awards given in the heart of Florence. Unlike a conventional competition, this award is not a competition between artists, but is awarded to those artists who are valued for their artistic merit and stand out for their artistic and stylistic research.
This selection is made at an international level and seeks to recognize contemporary artists who stand out according to their own established criteria. The International Botticelli Prize is a symbol of an important artistic career and represents a significant recognition within the world of contemporary art.”
“Through self-analysis, I tried to see reality from the perspective of consciousness and not from the biological sense. I immersed myself in a rigorous process of deconstruction of my truths, both of a genealogical and conscience nature, up to the deconstruction of technical-practical conformation,” Escobar explained.
“For this reason, the concept of hyperrealism is transformed, since it only serves me on a philosophical level where I go beyond reality and compose from what my mind can propose as a rebound of the persistence of reason over poetry,” he adds.

“I was selected and awarded the International Botticelli Prize. The selection of the award-winning artists was carried out by a jury made up of art critics and curators who, by granting this prestigious award, grant their recognition to the work and career of outstanding creators from various countries of the world and artistic disciplines: painters, sculptors, and musicians,” says Escobar.
